Kenilworth is one of the oldest tea estates in Sri Lanka. Halfway up the Central Highlands, Kenilworth is considered a "medium grown" tea, so the weather there is moderate—not as hot as down in the plains, but not cool like in the peaks. Kenilworth is in the western tea area, known as "Dimbula." This estate is always a joy to visit. Unlike most tea estates, this one is neat and tidy. All of this helps to explain why the estate makes excellent full-leaf tea that is wonderfully mellow.
